Professor Dr. Le Hanh

Professor Le Hanh, MD, PhD, is a distinguished leader in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery. He currently holds multiple prominent titles, including Founder and President of the Vietnamese Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery (VSAPS) and the Ho Chi Minh City Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery (HSPAS). He is also the Founder and Consultant of the Department of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery at Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Department at Chợ Rẫy Hospital. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Le Hanh Clinic of Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in Vietnam, the National Secretary of the International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the President of the ASEAN Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Professor Le Hanh's educational achievements are impressive. He earned his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City in 1978, followed by a fellowship in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from the same institution in 1987. He obtained a Certificate of Advanced Specialization in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of Aix-Marseille, France, in 1992. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine (Head & Neck Surgery) at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City in 1996. Furthermore, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, USA, in 1996, and became an Associate Professor in Vietnam in 2011.
His private practice has been ongoing since 1983, where he is the Director of the LÊ HÀNH CENTER of Otolaryngology, now specializing in Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, located at 83 Trần Thiện Chánh Street, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

​Throughout his career, Professor Le Hanh has held numerous professional roles. From 1980 to 2005, he was a surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Cho Ray Hospital, eventually becoming the Vice Head of the department from 2000 to 2005. He founded and headed the Plastic & Cosmetic Department at Cho Ray Hospital from 2002 to 2013. He has been a member of the Standing Committee of the Otolaryngology Society of Vietnam since 1989 and a founding member of the ASIAN Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since 2000, serving as its President from 2005 to 2007. Since 2007, he has been the Founder and President of the Ho Chi Minh City Society of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Allergan Council of Aesthetic Breast Surgery, a Founder and Chairman of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Medical University of Pham Ngoc Thach, an Honorary Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS), a member of ISAPS, and a National Board Member of the Rhinoplasty Society of Asia. In 2023, he was appointed President of the ASEAN Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
